[Amused, she tugs on Delilah's arm, hopefully guiding her further up.]

Stay, Delilah. The lounging about in the after is my favorite part.

[With a theatrical sigh, she pushes herself up, flopping down higher up, tracing fingers along Kassandra's collarbone.]

I was told people wanted to run, often, after. Glad you're not the sort.

Those are usually men worried they've given you a child.

[And she has no patience for that.]

With women, it is very different.

[She settles in, tracing Kassandra's collarbone with her fingertips.]

Well that's good to know. So far, the men have been sometimes pretty but not worth my time.

I feel the same way, most of the time.

{There've been a few men she's cared a great deal for. But it was far, far easier with women.]

Men have their uses, though.

Higher shelves, for instance.

[Said after a moment, with a pondering face. But she leaned in, to plant kisses around the hollow of Kassandra's throat.]

And I'm putting off the difficult stuff. That was my...first. You know. I mean, the usual self-knowledge, right, but...

[She reddens, considerably.]

[Kassandra chuckles, leaning over, kissing Delilah on the forehead and holding her close.]

So...it was your first. What did you think?

[She barely remembers her first. Some skinny, knobby kneed girl on Kephallonia. Nice, pretty, pleasant, but they'd been little better than children, then.]

[She burrows into Kassandra more, wrapping arms around her.]

Well I think you could tell. And I think I did well by you, for a neophyte.

You did just fine...though for now...I think perhaps it's time to rest.

[Sleep, she means. Because this is comfortable and warm.]

[She nuzzles in, making a sound.]

That's fine. But...when we wake up...

[She lifts her head.]
